I joined Top11 Manager on 15/8/2012. I said joined because I did not think it was good enough to get busy with, mainly because at that time I was also playing Football Manager 2012.
Around mid September I was really angry at Football Manager because despite of the awesomeness , it was such a time killer and so I decided to give top11 another chance.
My team with auto coach on had finished third on first season and 3 matches before season 2 end was ranked 7th. So I went “oh rly?” , searched old forum a bit and decided to stay for another round at lvl 2 league. Did a lot of experiment with coaching that season (foolish experiment also) but managed to finish at rank 2. What I liked (and still do) about this game is that heartbeat goes faster while on a live match against any worthy opponent and that kept me on to the coaching business.
Next season(4th) I did a lot more of forum reading about counter tactics but I still was a rookie, however managed to end at rank 2 again.
In 5th season I was first all the way but lost the league at the very last match (finished second). Disappointed as I was, I moved on to next season. Team’s income was good enough and I managed to get excellent young players with special abilities with just a few tokens by searching early in the morning. The result was a disaster because team succumbed to a scout team and finished 2th for the fourth consecutive league. Without any real money involved I had a nice stack of coins by now, it was the right moment to get my first 6 star players and so I went on and bought two scouts to strengthen my roster. Things went smooth, I managed to win my first ever championship on 9/2/2013.
In season no. 6 a lot of things changed. First some bad RNG game results and refused to buy tokens, then been interested in other games, I was kinda in and out of top eleven. Actually I never gave up on it, but you know how it goes when you are not daily active. I was just daily login for 5 mins to hard train and that was it at its most.
However my pure love for soccer drove me back to it. A few months ago, when I thought all hope for team coaching was lost, I decided to start over again and what a cool comeback this was! I had many many many tokens stashed & a proper budget to rebuilt my team the way I always wanted it. I had also around 1.000 skill points to distribute.
A team with average age 22 years old and 6 to 7 quality stars ruled two out of three tournaments with ease. There was only one issue left I had to deal with... How to be competitive without paying to play. You see the more you advance in level, the bigger the demand for tokens gets.....
So how I was to deal with it, since I never bought tokens in the past, nor I was willing to buy in the future ??? Simply I have decided to follow a different tactic, so for some months till present day, my team plays one year for the title, then next year hibernates on the same level, getting stronger, tokens, packs etc.
I have also created a secondary team to experiment with various formations and arrows. This way each season one team is after the champions title and one rests. Finally I can enjoy the game at a slower but more friendly pace and most important of all, totally free of charge.
Coming back to the present day my primary team participates in a lvl 17 league, while I have 22 seasons played in total.
My Trophy room is not of great importance since I have not spent a single dime for tokens and have been away for some seasons, but still you can see some titles that I am very proud of.
Thx for all the useful stuff on here bro!!
ReplyDeleteYour tactics about how to be succesful without spending any penny on tokens is quite impressive.
I think I'll try it out next season cause I'm moving up to level 14 and with my current strengh (82,5) I'm not that competitve.
Good job! Go on like this :-)
